Joshua James – In The Middle

Joshua James

I first heard Joshua James through Paste Magazine and I was quite impressed.  He had a very soft and uplifting gospel sound to his voice, and this being his second full full length album, is very well put together.  My personal favorite songs are “In The Middle” and “Coal War,” but the rest of the album is brilliant.

I really hope to find more of his music soon, and who knows… I may just post more here soon!

Trentemoller – Take Me Into Your Skin

I could have this song on repeat for hours.  It sounds like a little BT and Paul Oakenfold with a dash of Vangelis.  Trentemoller uses a wonderful mix of acoustic instruments as well as synthesized sounds. Very smooth, but I wish the rest of the album was as good as this track. What do you think?

The New Pornographers are back!

The New Pornographers

I have to admit, I actually forgot that this album was coming out soon… thank GOD for my friends at tsusuradio for the heads up!  This is, by far, my favorite New Pornographers album yet, and if you haven’t heard much hype on this album yet, you will soon.  Almost every track is beautifully blended and balanced.  There are more pop-ish elements in this release, but I really love the direction that they have gone in.

I highly recommend that you find this one in your local record store and pick it up!
